Just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after you

So, this is a totally speculative exercise here. I'm usually not a consiracy theory type of guy, but I look at the current goings on over the intelligence work on Iraq and WMD. It's interesting to see people from within the intelligence community come out against the administration. I bet that the Bush administration knew that the intelligence was, at best, uncertain. BUt it was ambiguous enough that there was some small thing they could blow out of proportion. If the shit hit the fan, the admin could always say they were going on the intelligence communities best stuff, which makes the intelligence community the fall guy. The intelligence community is in a dilemma, either they admit that their work was crap in the first place (which discredits their entire existance) or they admit that they were pressured to inflate the evidence (which discredits any claim to impartiality they may have, which discredits their entire existance). So, no matter how they respond, they come off taking the heat, and the Bush administration gets off scot free. Obviously, the BUsh people have no respect for the truth, much less intelligence reports. No, they have their lodestone of neo-conservative dogma to lead their way. Reality need not apply. So, once you have a scapegoat that serves no other useful purpose for you, why not sacrifice them for pure partisan and political gain. It's what we call in game theory a, dominant strategy.

Once again, the very rich dominate everyone else.
