The show itself was great. They played most of what I wanted to hear from the new album, except for Blown Speakers and the 2 or 3 songs done by Dan Bejar, who wasn't with them, and I guess isn't a full fledged member. I don't know, however, if the set was cut short because of the late start. They played till 1:20 or so, but then said they had to go. Neko looked good, red hair and all, done in briads/pigtails. Her voice sounded as great live as it does recorded.
Cinerama opened, and were good as well. I'd seen them several months ago, as Ballboy (a Scottish group I like) was opening for them. They played a bunch of new songs, all of which were really fast and loud (for them), so that was cool.
We had dinner with the Hot Chef prior to the show. It was tasty, as always. Special treat involved Eric coming out from the kitchen to give us a large thing of hot and sour soup, on the house. It was a pleasant surprise.
Oh, and mmm mmm good.
