Punk rawk, dude. 13 March 2003 5:45 P.M.

So, last night I got to do something really cool. One of my best friends is in this cool band callled The North Atlantic. They're in the process of finishing up their second album, and they had a little party at the studio last night to record some finishing touches provided by those who showed up. Basically, we all had to clap in rythym and shout out the lyrics. Unfortunately, because we were doing overdubs, we had to be in time with the master track. There was only one pair of headphones, so only one person could hear the actual beat pattern. Every time we tried to have the group do it, the group would speed up to the point of totally being out of sync with the master tape. I could totally see Cullen and the three Jasons getting increasingly annoyed at our inability to do the thing correctly. MEanwhile, the gathered rabble were getting tired, and some people were rather drunk. (not me!) Finally, after about an hour and twenty minutes, we got it close enough to satisfy the band. Then, we did a little bit where Jason H. played the guitar and we all sang along the same lyrics over and over again. It was recorded onto a small hand recorder, which they'll play back through a microphone onto the end of some track. I can't wait until the album comes out. It's goining to sound fucking great.
